Dan Sanborn


As president of Wheelhouse Labs and chief marketing officer for the Wheelhouse Group, Dan Sanborn oversees all activity for Wheelhouse’s in-house creative agency, servicing the company’s growing roster of brands and investments, productions and pioneering partnerships. Among these is production company Kimmelot, launched last fall by Wheelhouse and Jimmy Kimmel. Before Wheelhouse, Dan was SVP, culture and partnerships at leading beverage-alcohol company Diageo. During his 16-year tenure, he developed and shepherded myriad creative initiatives across a vast portfolio, while connecting multiple entertainment worlds. He helped lead the breakthrough partnership between mogul Sean Combs and Ciroc Vodka, creating one of the industry’s fasting-growing ultra-premium vodkas and helped orchestrate partnerships with iconic trademarks like Johnnie Walker and Game of Thrones to create “White Walker,” one of the most disruptive innovations in scotch. Dan began his career in 1998 as a communications aide in the Massachusetts State Legislature and spent years in public affairs and on the political campaign circuit, serving as a communications director and integrated communications consultant.
